1. Shankar Market

 

Book enthusiasts, listen up, you can either buy or borrow books here at Ram Gopal Sharma & Sons, that is a very well known bookstore located in Shankar Market. This bookstore is especially famous amongst thriller genre fans, they sell the likes of Dan Brown, Stephen King, John Grisham and also others like them in just Rs. 100 to Rs. 200. Shankar Market is one of the oldest local markets in Delhi. Sharma Book Depot’ & ‘Piccadilly’ offer a wide range of fiction & nonfiction books for Rs 100-200 only. How To Reach: Get down at the Barakhamba Metro Station, jump and you are here. 
Timings: 11 am to 8 pm

 

2. Connaught Place

 

When in Connaught Place, hit the F-block and the lanes adjacent to PVR Plaza. Looking for books as cheap as 80 Rs. and the maximum the price goes to Rs. 200. This has been the favored book destination for a million book lovers over decades.

3. Nai Sarak

 

This market will not disappoint you as this is an old favorite among Delhites. It's called the Nai Sarak because it is a relatively new and broad road constructed by the Britishers. You can find books and stationery items here that are really cool. You'll be able to find any and all books here.

How To Reach: Take the metro to Chandni Chowk and then take a rickshaw to cover the 1 km to Nai Sarak. 
Timings: 11:30 am to 6 pm. Open all days except Sundays

 

4. Janpath

 

Buying books off the streets rather than off stores has its own charm. Plus, there's an added advantage of the books being cheap. But check out bargain bookstore in Janpath, that gives you 3 books at the price of one. This bookstore specializes in second-hand books and depending on the time of the year, has different discount offers.
