As Valentine's Day approaches on this 14th of February, couples are gearing up to please their partners in the most unique and exquisite ways. The auspicious day gracing the short month of February with festivities and affection is considered to be a very important milestone marking the bond of a couple. The day does not even spare the singles as wherever you'll go you would find heart-shaped stuff and people planning their week around the day of love. As you witness the percentage of love rising in the air, know whats and hows of the most awaited valentine week of 2020.

The Tradition Of Celebrating Love-Valentines Day

As per history, the day first became associated with romantic love within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). In Europe, Saint Valentine's Keys are given to lovers "as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart", as well as to children, in order to ward off epilepsy. Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid.valentine-week-2018-calendar

Now that we know a tad about Valentine's Day, let's start with the Valentine's Day List of 2020.

Rose Day - 7th February, Friday

The Valentine week of 2020 starts with Rose day which marks the most gentle yet beautiful way of conveying your delicate feelings to someone. Traditionally a red rose is gifted to one's partner to showcase one's love, however, they can also be presented to someone you're not romantically involved with. Roses come in varied colors like white, yellow, pink, lilac & purple, orange, multi-colored, etc. Let the gentleness and rejuvenating aroma of the rose(s) fill both of your lives.

Propose Day - 8th February, Saturday

The next on the Valentine Week list is a day that brings the courage to bring one's emotions from their hearts and minds to surface and become vocal about their feelings. Propose day is usually celebrated by confessing to one's significant other about how much you love them if you're already with someone and if not, confession to someone you've been crushing on for a long time! The day marks a lot of stability and reliability in a relationship.

Teddy Day - 10th February, Monday

What better than softy teddies to fill their cozy rooms with more of your love and warmness! Get one for your significant other and let it compensate a little for your absence when you can't be there, next to them, during their sleepless nights. After the chocolate rush, the next thing on the Valentine Week list is Teddy Day. Teddies can be the perfect way to make your relationship goals the cutest, especially if the teddy is a life-size one.

Mark your valentine with a kiss as you feel their skin brush against your own. There is no better feeling than to get a kiss from your significant other especially if it's under a starry night and the light of the moon. Never hesitate on asking for kisses and plant some when they are not looking to surprise them with a blush. Also, forehead kisses can resolve the most complex of conflicts as they are out of the world.
