As Valentine's Day approaches on this 14th of February, couples are gearing up to please their partners in the most unique and exquisite ways. The auspicious day gracing the short month of February with festivities and affection is considered to be a very important milestone marking the bond of a couple. The day does not even spare the singles as wherever you'll go you would find heart-shaped stuff and people planning their week around the day of love. As you witness the percentage of love rising in the air, know whats and hows of the most awaited valentine week of 2024.

The Tradition Of Celebrating Love-Valentines Day

As per history, the day first became associated with romantic love within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). In Europe, Saint Valentine's Keys are given to lovers "as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart", as well as to children, in order to ward off epilepsy. Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves.

Rose Day - 7th February, Friday

The Valentine week of 2024 starts with Rose day which marks the most gentle yet beautiful way of conveying your delicate feelings to someone. Traditionally a red rose is gifted to one's partner to showcase one's love, however, they can also be presented to someone you're not romantically involved with. Roses come in varied colors like white, yellow, pink, lilac & purple, orange, multi-colored, etc. Let the gentleness and rejuvenating aroma of the rose(s) fill both of your lives.
