A sanctuary of peace right at the epicentre of the city, Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Situated against the green backdrop of the Teen Murti House, the Nehru Planetarium was once the official residence of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Now, however, it functions as a museum and hub of astronomical science. A common point of attraction for young Delhi kids and teenagers, this place is full of wondrous sights and insights into the world of astronomy. If you identify as a bibliophile, this place should ideally occupy the top position in your list of must-visit places in Delhi, at least on a particular day of the week. The massive book market that is set up in Daryaganj every Sunday proffers the scene of an expansive stretch of books, old and new, fiction and non-fiction being ordinarily sold at a rate per KG. Pick an idle day, and head here with nothing but a love for the written word, and spend hours rummaging through piles of diverse books and novels!

Hazrat Nizamuddin is the dargah (mausoleum) of one of the most renowned saints in the world, Nizamuddin Auliya and a prominent pilgrimage tourist attraction. A street swarming with shops selling polychrome clocks, prints of Mecca, chadars and flowers lead up to the pious marble pavilion. A common sight within the Dargah comprises of devotees singing qawwali in the honour of the celebrated Persian poet and devotee of Nizamuddin Auliya, Amir Khusrau. Yup, this is the place where Chris Martin performed randomly and out of the blue! Sri Aurobindo Marg is an important arterial road in the area of South Delhi and most people who visit Delhi are apprised of this fact.
