They make some people cry, and others just make them gassy. But everyone loves them anyway.

1. Kal Ho Na Ho (2003)

No matter how tough you act, you can't help but cry when you watch this Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan love story. Especially in the final scene, when Aman reveals why he kept pushing Naina away. It's just too heartbreaking!

2. Rang De Basanti (2006)

This movie is like a roller coaster of emotions. It starts off with some light-hearted fun, but then it takes a sharp turn into patriotism that will make even the most apathetic person feel like a deshbhakt. In today's political climate, we could all use a reminder of what it means to be proud to be Indian. So let's all watch Rang De Basanti again and get our patriotism on!

3. Taare Zameen Par (2007)

This has to be the most educating and eye-opening movie about our flawed education system, the misunderstanding of learning disorders, and the love of family. Ishaan’s tearful scenes from the song “Maa” wrecked emotional havoc on us that we still haven’t recovered from years later!

4. Baghban (2003)

Raj and Pooja were real troopers, raising four kids and giving them everything they could. But when they got old, their kids turned into real duds and didn't lift a finger to help. "Main Yahan Tu Wahan" made us cry like babies.

This Imtiaz Ali movie is so good that it's achieved cult status, thanks to the amazing music by A.R. Rehman and the stellar acting by Ranbir Kapoor. But be warned: the ending is so sad, it'll make even the most jaded cinephile cry like a baby. This movie was sure ahead of it time and the one that should be kept in history books.

Dear Zindagi is a Bollywood movie that'll make you ugly cry. It's not your typical masala flick, but it's a refreshing take on mental health and therapy. This Imtiaz Ali movie will make you sob for Veera, the protagonist who finds safety with her kidnapper but not at home. She faces her abusers head-on and finally overcomes the trauma of being a survivor.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is a tearjerker of a movie that will have you laughing, crying, and feeling all the feels. Salman Khan is at his best as Pawan. The movie is full of heartwarming moments, but it also has its fair share of sadness. The scenes where Pawan and the little girl bond are especially touching.
